Vipassna:

Tom is featured on a new CD from composer Joseph C. Phillips. This music is set across 4 movements and features 25 instrumentalists and singers. "...it has the appeal of that dense work but takes you to a different place. Wild and worth it."--Midwest Record Review

Circle Wide:

Tom is featured on George Schuller's Circle Wide CD,"Like Before, Somewhat After", on Playscape records. This is Schuller's second recording with his longstanding quintet, Circle Wide.

"Circle Wide embraces the same malleable, inside-outside aesthetic that the American Quartet excelled at. Like Before, Somewhat After invokes the bittersweet intensity of Jarrett's formative work, making this richly rewarding tribute one of Schuller's most beautiful and accessible albums." — Troy Collins, AllAboutJazz.com

New Kenny White :

Tom is featured the new Kenny White CD "Comfort in the Static", a superb recording by Kenny featuring Shawn Pelton and Duke Levine, among many other greats.

Currently:
I'll be at the Iridium on July 13 and at the Highline Ballroom on July 14. Also, I will be returning to Boston to play a gig at the Kaji Aso Studio on July 23 with cellist Jody Redhage. On the 24th I'll be playing in NYC at Fat Cat with bassist Joseph Lepore's group, which includes saxophonist Logan Richardson.

Stay tuned for info regarding the release of a new Brad Shepik CD which I recorded earlier this year– featuring Mark Guiliana and Jorge Roeder and the always-burning Shepik. >check my schedule

"...here's someone who makes the vibraphone sound like the most grand of jazz instruments." - John Book, thisisbooksmusic.com

"...Beckham does not hesitate to take front stage at certain times, and the impressive subtlety of his technique combines wondrously both with the calm moments and the intense moments in order to make the tunes memorable. Here and there one feels the influences of diverse musical horizons, which contribute to preserving a dynamic and relatively eclectic sound." --CHYZ, 94.3 Canada

"The leadoff track, 'Tethered,' [from Rebound]... invites repeated listens, so compelling are the tune, the series of solos, and group interplay."— Scott Albin, Jazz.com

"Tom Beckham has a refreshing approach to the vibraphone. He plays it with a gentle ear for harmony and development, with ideas that are wrapped in crystalline notes." - allaboutjazz.com

"When listening to ‘Rebound,’ there is an attachment of sensitivity and close attention to detail. Beckham’s strategic improvised rhythms serve as a reminder of the CD’s straight ahead influences." - Jus' Jazz.com
